How many white people have ever considered why they might be viewed with suspicion and fear by minorities?
I heard a discussion today about whether a "white culture" exists. Yes, it does. But it is a culture of supremacy and domination at any cost. Even if these blue collar, conservative, white Republican voters suddenly realized that they were ripped off by Wall Street banksters and a Republican party that supports them and cares nothing for them, it would not matter. It would only matter if they thought a black man ripped them off..
What's really wrong with America is the culture of white privilege.

As to your post: If the Repugs won't offer Obama and cooperation; what in the fuck are they going to do when "Pancho Villa" (Julian Castro) moves into their WHITE house?

Toadie, I missed your blogs and comments. Glad your back.
What we have now is the radical rich who want us to pay their share of the nations bills while they cut every thing from head start to food stamps to repair of the infrastructure, hoodwinking the older white guys, like my brother and most my neighborhood into the notion that government 1st, and minorities 2nd, are the reason they have high taxes. Well, most of them are too damn old to have a job, their mostly on social security, but they don't see it as being on the government payroll, yet they don't want anyone else to get on.
A lot of these guys have only 1 or 2 more elections in them before they assume room temperature. Hopefully as they pass we may see some change in the culture that certainly does not help blacks, or any one in the country, and hopefully all minorities will have relief from the stand your ground culture.

Thanks for you comments. I find the selfishness of millions of Americans utterly intolerable. This quasi-Libertarian notion that "I got mine, to hell with the rest" is unsustainable. Democracy cannot flourish in an environment of "meness".
